Making disciples is what the church is all about. The Adult Discipleship program at Myrtle Grove EPC is intended to be one means to that end. In order to make the most of the Discipleship hour each Sunday morning (from 9:45-10:45), we are going to begin offering a more intentional and focused set of courses that we trust will help you to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

These courses will be designed to build upon each other, from courses on Bible and basic doctrine to practical courses on matters such as family and finances. To gain the most from this program, your foundational understanding of the Bible and Christian doctrine must be solid. In order for everyone to get involved at the most appropriate level, we have devised these self-administered quizzes.*

You are encouraged to take these mini-tests and use the scores to inform your decision about which Discipleship class to take. The tests are designed to determine your knowledge in the areas of Old Testament, New Testament, basic doctrine, and more advanced doctrine. We hope that taking these tests will be interesting, enlightening, and useful in finding the best place for you to get involved in order to become a more mature disciple of Christ.

We suggest that you consider participating in the Discipleship class that corresponds to your lowest score. These classes will not necessarily deal with every question on the quizzes, but do reflect an appropriate level of study in each area. For the fall 2010 semester (beginning September 19th, 2010), those courses will be:

Old Testament:
Kingdom, Covenants & Canon of the Old Testament (video lectures by Richard Pratt)

New Testament:
The Heart of Paul's Theology (video lectures by Reggie Kidd)
Facilitated by Stacey Miller (Room 120)
