VISION EYE CHART
Our Vision

The Vision of Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church
is that we would be
a place where:

·      God’s people are Equipped as Christian Disciples.
  Eph. 4:12; Matt. 28:19

Doing what the word says is important to us. Preaching is
practical, teaching in classes and
in small groups helps
mature us and encourages us to be more like Jesus. Discipleship
classes, fellowship and mentoring are all part of the body
at work at Myrtle Grove.

·      Reaching the lost is our common purpose.
  Lk. 19:10
Myrtle Grove is committed to loving and reaching out to
the lost in our community and around the globe. We use
our missions, programs, facilities and resources to love
and reach people. Ultimately, it is love in the hearts
of our people that draws others to Christ and Myrtle Grove.

·      We connect to the family in fellowship and community.
  Acts 2:42-47
Staying connected and maintaining family relationships
are priority. We are thrilled to be part of God’s family
and are focused upon inviting others to be part of it. We
use every available means to care for, communicate and
connect with each other. People know each other by name,
sharing their trials and celebrating their successes.

·      Reaching and growing the next generation is priority.
  Matt. 18:1-2; Acts 2:39
We are actively engaged in reaching out to and preparing
the next generation. Children, youth, young adults,
college age and young families are part of our particular
focus. Our older adults take seriously our commitment to
mentor the next generation.  Our facilities reflect our
priority to reach the next generation for Christ.

·      Our services are designed for impact.
  Jn. 10:10
Sunday morning services are a time to magnify and
celebrate God’s presence in our midst. Wednesday evenings
are a time for informal worship, teaching and prayer
where we focus upon training and empowering people.
Our worship spaces are designed to maximize the impact
of each service. Sound, light and other technologies
are used to enhance worship.

·       Worship is joyful and Spirit led.
  Jn. 4:23-24, Ps. 94:6-7, Matt. 22:37

Anointed praise and worship is creative, Spirit-led
and joyful. Our worship is sensitive to the movements of
the Holy Spirit and the needs of people. Our worship is
sometimes spontaneous and unscripted. We use many forms
in our expression, including music, song, dance and drama.
We use large group vocals, instrumentalists and small
worship teams in our worship.

·       The Word of God is made practical and relevant.
  II Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12

Preaching at Myrtle Grove is always rooted in God’s word.
The bible is the core of each sermon or teaching. Every
sermon seeks to be relevant to everyday lives of people.
Stories, examples and testimonies are used to make biblical
truth applicable and easy to understand.

·      Every member is a minister and serves one another.
  II Cor. 5:14-19
Christ in us enables each of us to be an effective
minister to each other. Every person serves in a ministry
area. We are a healing community offering comfort and
care at every stage of life.
Our spiritual gifts allow
us to speak and act in ways that release life and healing
to those we know and meet.
