David Kolk – Director of Family Ministries

            David was born in Dayton, OH to a military family so he “grew up” in multiple cities. David has been on staff at Myrtle Grove since 2004 overseeing the Family Life Center and is involved in multiple ministries ranging from children to youth to adults. He has an MA degree in Biblical Studies and was the Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Wilmington and Jacksonville, FL for 15 years, but he will tell you that much of his experience comes from raising his 7 children. David and his wife of 27 years Barbara enjoy tennis, running and spending time with their children (Katie, David Jr., Aaron, Micah, Nathan, Zachary and Luke).  When asked for a random fact David replied “Omar Kaddafi once sent a fighter jet to shoot down my plane.” No further information was offered or asked.
